CityWell at Durham PRIDE: Meet at Asbury UMC at 9:30 am, Sat 9/23

WHERE TO PARK AND MEET

Please plan to arrive at Asbury UMC by 9:30 am, carpooling if you can; we will then walk together with the other UMC marchers to our designated parade starting location, which will take about 10 minutes. All marchers must be at the starting location by 10 am. The parade will begin shortly after at 10:30 am.

ALTERNATIVE PARKING

If for any reason you need to park closer, there are a number of lots available. Nearby locations that have offered up additional public parking for Pride are:

• Epworth Lane at Duke
• Brodie Gym Drive at Duke
• Broad St. Duke lot

If you use one of these alternative lots, please make sure to arrive at the parade lineup by 10 am.

Folks needing close accessibility parking can park in the two designated ADA parking lots located alongside Gilbert-Addoms building on Duke’s East Campus. There will be volunteers (in pink shirts) with golf carts on hand to help ferry people from the accessibility lots to the Parade and the Festival.

OTHER LOGISTICS

• CityWell will have a vehicle in the Parade. Marchers will move forward with the vehicles as they are lined up to enter the Parade.
• We will have rainbow flags for all marchers who would like
• Bring whatever you need to be comfortable for the 2-mile route. Sunscreen, water, comfy shoes, etc. There should be refillable water stations at the festival
• The Parade and all Pride festivities are rain or shine!
