Our nursery ministry is based on the belief that in baptism (and through covenant partnerships), we promise to raise our children up to be disciples of Jesus.

CityBabies is a structured time that incorporates play, teacher-led Christian education, and snack time. The space is divided into two groups, walkers and non-walkers to create a safe and age appropriate environment for all.

Children ages 2 and under are invited to participate in CityBabies Nursery Ministry. All children who are 3+ by August 31, 2018 are invited to join CityKids (a children’s ministry offered to 3-9 year olds). Children will transition out of the nursery each fall as they are eligible for the next age group.

CityBabies opens mid-service and closes just before communion. Because we believe that children watching others worship in church is instrumental to their development as disciples, we are committed to teaching children how to worship in our collective space. In addition, because we believe that adults watching children worship in church is instrumental to their development as disciples, we are committed to working with adults without children to be helpful in making our collective worship possible. To make these beliefs a reality, parents “pre-check in” children as they arrive and then all children join the rest of the community in the service until 11ish. CityKids and CityBabies dismiss from the sanctuary at the same time, just before the sermon, and then come back in right before communion. We have a space up front for children and others to move their bodies and dance.
