Lakewood Elementary’s new PTA board is planning an outdoor Family Day for Saturday, August 21st from 4-6pm.

We’d like to know if you, or anyone you know, wants to support this event! Here are some of the things we’re looking for:

• Trusted organizations who offer specific resources (housing or legal aid, mental or physical health services, kids’ programming, etc.) to set up tables and engage with Lakewood families
• People to lead activities at the event itself: arts & crafts, a bubble-blowing station, face painting, games…
• Volunteers to help set up, clean up, camp out at the food station or other key spots, or direct traffic (especially Spanish-speaking volunteers)

Thank you so much for your support during the ongoing pandemic, through a spring of terrible loss and uncertainty, through a year of virtual learning, through a hectic and incredibly demanding return to in-person learning – our community has held us up every step of the way.
